Description

This position leads the strategy and execution of channel enablement and merchandising programs across both Pro and Retail channels, ensuring Trex products are clearly positioned, properly supported, and consistently brought to life wherever they are sold.

This role translates product and brand priorities into structured enablement and merchandising plans that support successful product launches, strengthen selling environments, and improve how customers and shoppers engage with Trex products at point of decision. The manager develops channel-ready launch support models, field-facing selling tools, and merchandising programs that evolve with customer behavior, retail formats, and sales priorities.

This role owns the roadmap for program effectiveness - continuously improving how products are presented, demonstrated, and supported across dealer, distributor, showroom, and retail environments. Success requires both strategic planning and hands-on execution, with strong cross-functional partnership across Product, Sales, Brand, Retail, and Channel Marketing teams.

  • Channel Enablement & Merchandising Strategy & Planning

    • Develop and maintain the enablement and merchandising strategy across Pro and Retail channels.
    • Build annual product launch-specific plans that define required tools, content, merchandising, and field support.
    • Establish channel-specific enablement frameworks aligned to how products are sold in trade, dealer, showroom, and retail environments
    • Define how merchandising programs should evolve to improve shopper engagement, product understanding, and sales conversion.
    • Identify gaps in current merchandising and in-store engagement and develop plans to improve effectiveness and consistency.
    • Recommend new formats, tools, and engagement models that strengthen product storytelling and selling confidence.


  • Sales Enablement & Field-Facing Content

    • Lead development of field-facing tool and resources used by Pro sales teams, dealers, distributors, and retail associates.
    • Create and manage sales resources such as:

      • Product sell sheets and guides
      • Competitive comparisons
      • Playbooks and selling frameworks
      • Channel-specific talking points and job aids


    • Adapt enablement materials for different audiences and selling contexts across Pro and Retail.
    • Maintain a centralized enablement content library with clear organization and version control.
    • Gather field and partner feedback to continuously refine enablement tools for usability and adoption.

EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field and 5 - 7 years of experience in sales enablement, product marketing, channel marketing, or merchandising.

Required Skills and Qualifications:



  • Demonstrated experience supporting product launches and commercialization programs
  • Experience developing sales tools, enablement content, and merchandising programs.
  • Strong strategic planning and project management skills.
  • Ability to translate technical product information into clear, compelling selling resources.
  • Experience managing vendors and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and execution discipline.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multi-channel environment.
  • Occasional travel required for channel and customer research.

SALARY

Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $125,000 annually.

The salary range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual/sales bonus, in addition to the base salary.

At Trex, individual base salaries are determined based on various factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
