Ophthalmology-Pediatric Surgical Ophthalmologist (MD/DO)

The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking an Open Rank Pediatric Surgical Ophthalmologist. Responsibilities include outpatient care, surgical responsibilities, an interest in clinical and/or bench research, and resident and medical student teaching and supervision. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications. This role includes a strong commitment to clinical care, resident teaching and supervision, and medical student education. This position will serve patients at both theUNCKittner Eye Center, located 2226 Nelson Hwy, Ste. 200, Chapel Hill, NC and at various other clinical sites owned byUNCEye. Please note, the department will consider variable hours (full-time or part-time) from 0.5FTE- 1.0FTE.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Ophthalmology residency
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Ophthalmology
  • Candidates for this position should have completed a post-residency fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of North Carolina
