Lead Travel Technician (Commercial Projects - Nationwide) Company: TEKsystems Travel: 100% travel required Preferred Location: Nashville, TN (open to candidates nationwide) Experience Level: Intermediate Overtime: Significant overtime available Position Overview TEKsystems is seeking a Lead Installation Technician to oversee and perform onsite installations for commercial projects across the country. This role includes supervising a small team (1-3 technicians) while completing conduit, cabling, and security system installations with a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities * Lead onsite installation teams of 1-3 technicians. * Install, terminate, and test Cat6 cabling, security cameras, and related lowvoltage infrastructure. * Work with structured telecom cabling, fire alarm systems, access control, and other lowvoltage systems. * Read and interpret blueprints to build cable pathways that avoid obstructions and electrical conflicts. * Install and run Cat6, fiber, coax, and additional cabling types. * Apply knowledge of lowvoltage NEC codes throughout installations. * Build and install server racks; mount access points, cameras, access panels, and fire alarm devices. * Test all installed systems for functionality and compliance. Tools & Equipment * Technician must provide: personal hand tools, punch tools, cordless drills. * TEKsystems provides: consumables, specialized training as needed, and any access requirements. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Nashville, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
