Software engineering is the application of engineering to the design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of software in a systematic method. The roles in this function will cover all primary development activities across all technological functions that ensure we deliver code with high quality for our applications, products and services and to understand customer needs and to develop product road maps.

These roles include, but are not limited to analysis, design, coding, engineering, testing, debugging, standards, methods, tools analysis, documentation, research and development, maintenance, new development, operations and delivery. With every role in the company, each position has a requirement for building quality into every output. This also includes evaluating new tools, new techniques, strategies; Automation of common tasks; build of common utilities to drive organizational efficiency with a passion around technology and solutions and influence of thought and leadership on future capabilities and opportunities to apply technology in new and innovative ways.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office for a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software applications and application components in an agile environment using .NET Core and Angular
  • Create high-quality software by conducting peer design/code reviews and developing automated test cases
  • Software architecture and design using established design patterns such as Vertical Slice Architecture, Clean Architecture, and GoF design patterns
  • Creates and updates SQL stored procedures
  • Read, analyze, and refactor code to a more efficient or maintainable solution
  • Act as a hands-on engineer, leading by example and working independently
  • Builds production-ready features and capabilities adhering to best engineering standards
  • Share knowledge internally with peers and leaders, acting as a resource for teams and business units within areas of expertise
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers within the organization
  • Analyzes and investigates production issues as they arise
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of software development experience
  • 4+ years of experience focused on .NET core web related technologies
  • 3+ years of experience in API & Integrations: Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
  • 2+ years of experience with DevOps & CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git, Artifactory, Fortify Scan, SonarQube)
  • 1+ years of experience in building scalable, performant and high-availability applications using ASP.NET Web API, Angular and web services (API backend heavy)
  • 1+ years of experience designing and developing data-driven applications using RDMBS (SQL Server, Oracle, PL/SQL) and/or NoSQL datastores

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of development with Elasticsearch or like search engine
  • Experience in deploying applications on public cloud infrastructure
  • Experience in a lead or senior role
  • Experience in banking/financial/healthcare domain
  • Demonstrated solid background in designing RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and service-oriented architecture
  • Demonstrated flexibility to work across a variety of software-related disciplines: solution design, agile development, unit testing and refactoring
  • Expertise in optimizing high-traffic, real-time payment processing systems for latency and throughput

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
