As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Driver in Sugar Grove, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced food and beverage location where you will manage access control, greet and screen visitors, verify credentials, and support traffic flow for deliveries and staff. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols as needed, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with employees and guests. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license, backed by a team that values integrity, teamwork, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Control access at gates and entry points by checking identification, managing visitor and contractor sign-in, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and helping to deter unauthorized entry.
• Monitor incoming and outgoing deliveries by verifying driver information, coordinating with site contacts, documenting truck and trailer details, and directing traffic flow as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns, completing required documentation, and communicating with site leadership and emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter fencing to observe unusual conditions, report maintenance concerns, and help to deter suspicious activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
