Responsibilities:

As a Pharmacist Manager (Inpatient), you'll guide daily pharmacy operations, support a skilled clinical team, and help ensure that every patient receives safe, effective, and timely medication therapy. You'll oversee staffing, workflow, and regulatory compliance while partnering closely with nurses, providers, and other departments to maintain a seamless medicationuse process.

Sign on bonuses $4,000-$7,500 depending on level of experienceand relocation bonus of $3,500-$6,000, available for qualified candidates.

How you would support the team.

  • Manage daily operations of Presbyterian Pharmacy Services across the Delivery System, ensuring safe, efficient, and highquality service.

  • Oversee staffing, assign daily work schedules, and maintain adequate coverage for inpatient pharmacy departments.

  • Ensure clinicians meet organizational standards and are accountable for decisions impacting patient care.

  • Participate in hiring, training, and onboarding of new staff. Evaluate performance and recommend personnel actions.

  • Establish and maintain departmental policies and procedures, including safety, environmental, regulatory, and infectioncontrol standards.

  • Interdepartmental collaboration with medical staff and other departments regarding medication ordering, distribution, information, adverse reactions, errors, and service concerns.

  • Promote professional growth through participation in education programs, workshops, and ongoing literature review.

  • Ensure staff adherence to the Department Compliance Plan for Controlled Substances and assist in investigating discrepancies or concerns.

  • Use financial, labor, and productivity data to manage departmental performance and meet PHS targets.

  • Approve clinical decisions within the Patient Management Program.

  • Oversee decisions made by the Clinical Oversight and Review Committee.

  • Lead the Quality Management Committee and ensure accurate collection and analysis of URAC performance data.

  • Review and approve all marketing and website content prior to publication.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required, doctorate preferred
  • Current and unrestricted New Mexico Board of Pharmacy license
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a practicing pharmacist, preferably in an inpatient setting
  • Three to five years of pharmacy leadership or administrative experience, including responsibilities such as scheduling, interviewing, committee participation, or project management, large team management experience preferred
