PURPOSE AND PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITES

An Aerospace Quality Intern supports the Quality Engineering and inspection teams by supporting inspections, managing documentation, and assisting in root cause analysis investigations. Key duties involve inspection, analyzing data for continuous improvement, and supporting nonconformance reports (NCRs) to enhance product quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES - other duties may be assigned



  1. Documentation & Compliance: Reviewing quality records, certifications, and, in some cases, automating inspection processes.
  2. Inspections: Supporting incoming, in-process, and final inspection of detail and finished goods.
  3. Data Analysis & Improvement: Assisting with root cause investigations.
  4. Project Work: Participating in special projects as assigned.


EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, etc.).

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES



  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, strong attention to detail, and good verbal/written communication.
  2. Familiarity with or interest in manufacturing principles


WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  1. May work in an office environment but will spend much time on the factory floor. May be exposed to dirt, heat, sparks, noise, fumes, and dust.
  2. Office work includes working at computer workstations.
  3. Factory floor work may require movement of materials in handling containers and carts.
