DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position the Clerical Assistant 2 will maintain and monitor office supplies and promotional brochures associated with the Park Office and Visitor Center operations. You will process monthly automotive and liquid fuels reports and completes necessary DGS web site information as required. Utilizes the Aspira System to make reservations within the rental time frames set by the system, collects and records payments for overnight facilities and point of sale items as required. Also reconciles daily cash balances with cash drawer amounts, issues refunds for changes in reservations, and prints daily usage and fiscal reports for all reservable facilities. Directs telephone and two-way radio communications to proper park personnel for action, and will performs other duties as necessary or required.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time, seasonal employment with no healthcare benefits.
    • There is not an option to buy into health care benefits.
  • Days/shifts will vary, will work 5 days/37.5 hours per week to include holidays and weekends
    • The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay.
    • The employee will automatically be returned to employment approximately March 2027.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting hourly rate of $18.46 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:
