Summary

The Core Engineering MRB Technician is responsible for maintaining the Core MRB pending area, reviewing core scrap daily, processing dispositions, and ensuring accurate documentation. This role supports production, engineering, and inspection teams by providing timely feedback, ensuring calibration readiness, and supporting process improvements. The technician must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of communicating effectively across departments.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Maintain and organize the MRB pending area daily.


* Review pending scrap with support from part owners and ensure timely dispositions.


* Complete all paperwork for scrap, released cores, and dispositions; move parts accordingly.


* Work with production to correct paperwork issues and ensure proper documentation flow.


* Provide daily or weekly feedback summaries to part owners regarding scrap trends or concerns.


* Ensure inspectors are calibrated and identify any calibration gaps that need escalation.


* Document defects on cores for traceability and reference.


* Provide feedback to injection team leads and operators regarding injection-related defects.


Additional Responsibilities

* Assist in tracking engineering trials through metals, ensuring timely movement through the router.


* Summarize and communicate trial results clearly to engineering and part owners.


* Capture and provide images and details for procedural updates.


* Work with process owners to implement new tools, fixtures, or techniques that improve quality and flow.


* Support and facilitate projects focused on improving organization, MRB flow, and FIFO across the department.


Qualifications

* Familiar with comfortable with Mercury interface.


* Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, instructions, and dimensional data.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Effective communication skills to relay findings to engineering, quality, and production teams.
* Experience in manufacturing, inspection, or core/injection processes preferred.
* Basic computer skills required; proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred.


Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required. Manufacturing or aerospace experience preferred.


The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
