National Grid is hiring a Senior Inventory Analyst for our Iventory Managment department in Syracuse, NY. This will be a hybrid role with 3 days in office.

Job Purpose

To support the Supply Planning Inventory Management organization through inventory fulfillment and business performance objectives. The candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing inventory targets and replenishment strategies to manage inventory across the Gas and Electric business units for National Grid's NY Operations Support organization.

Key Accountabilities
  • Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to obtain and share information to benefit National Grid's inventory management organization.
  • Significant collaboration with US peers to meet ratepayer service expectations.
  • Perform analysis and management of inventory levels, customer demand, re-order points, min/max levels, master data, consumption trends, supplier lead times, and other operational/procurement considerations to ensure the continuous flow of inventory materials to the respective warehouses.
  • Provide all aspects of materials management related to process and systems expertise, including business support of inventory systems and technology hardware, reporting, and end user training.
  • Monitor, follow up and coordinate with suppliers on expected deliveries, change orders, overdue or late deliveries.
  • Coordinate with Master Data team, Engineering, operations, and warehouse operations to ensure appropriate setup of inventory material items and IDs in SAP.
  • Independently collate and analyze data for one or multiple areas using pre-determined tools, methods and formats in order to support the department's decision-making process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Materials Planning, Estimating or Purchasing.
  • SAP experience a must.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret information and use critical thinking skills to analyze data relationships among several parts of a problem; clearly articulate options to resolve and any findings.
  • Proven experience anticipating obstacles and thinking ahead about next steps, ability to investigate a situation beyond routine questioning.
  • The demonstrated approach in dealing with stakeholders and taking personal responsibility for driving performance.
  • Self-starter and leader of performance programs within areas of responsibility.

Salary

$82,000 - $96,000 a year
