Directly responsible for assisting the Sanitation department supervision with the assignment and coordination and/or execution of activities within the Sanitation group to ensure a productive workforce that supports the facility. Oversee planning and preparation of work orders for work to be performed by the respective sanitations to ensure the plant is maintained in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Must have prior industrial sanitation experience. Experience as a group leader is preferred. Prefer previous safety training. WORKING CONDITIONS: Manufacturing Environment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Although the physical requirements vary each day, the employee must have the ability to sit (5%), stand (40%), walk (10%), kneel/squat (20%) and bend (25%) for 8 hours. Ability to lift approximately up to a maximum of 50 pounds, approximately 4 times per day from floor to waist. Ability to reach from 10 inches approximately 2 hours per day, and up to 60 inches approximately 1 hour per day. Ability to climb stairs approximately 8 times per day, ladders approximately 1-2 times per day, and crawling approximately 3 to 4 times per week. Performs repetitive motion, using the hands and arms approximately 1 hour per day and the back (twisting) approximately 1 hour per day. Must be able to perform pushing/pulling of the upper body approximately 5 to 6 times per day and the whole body approximately 4 to 5 times per day. May push and pull trash carts weighing 500 lb, dough carts weighing 800 lb, portable equipment and catch pans weighing 500 lb. May walk on unprotected heights, catwalks, etc. occasionally every week. Cannot be afraid of heights. Must be in good physical condition. OTHER ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS NOT LISTED ABOVE INCLUDE: Reading, writing, seeing, hearing, communicating, adding, subtracting, understanding instructions, and complete mental capabilities. Ability tolerate temperature extremes daily. To be in unprotected heights approximately daily. Exposure and sugar dust, refrigerants, and chemicals daily. MACHINES/TOOLS USED: Rubber boots, uniforms, trash carts, paint brushes, brooms, scrapers, buckets, buffers, ladders, gloves, wrenches, mops, squeegee, pliers, putty knife, channel lock, bump hat, hair net, and ear plugs and safety glasses.
