Description

The Department of Molecular & Medical Pharmacology is seeking to hire an experienced,Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PET/CT) to contribute clinical expertise in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging and exceptional patient care. In this role, you will perform advanced nuclear medicine and PET/CT procedures using sophisticated imaging technology, ensuring accuracy, safety, and outstanding imaging quality.

Working with a high level of independence, you will support physicians and clinical teams by producing reliable imaging results, maintaining accurate documentation, and providing compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process.

This per diem opportunitywill support coverage needs across multiple locations, including Encino, Santa Clarita, Santa Monica, and Calabasas. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environment.

Hourly range: $71.48-$79.42

*This is a per diem role which may convert to career*

Qualifications

Required:

  • Valid Certifications as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with either the Nuclear Medicine Technology Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Valid licensure in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the Department of Health Services, Radiologic Health Branch, State of California.
  • Working knowledge of the above listed equipment.
  • Reading skills to understand patient records, forms, technical procedure and policy manuals, and other related documents written in standard English.
  • Speaking skill to collect and clearly convey information to people of various educational cultural, and economic backgrounds using tact, diplomacy, correct grammar and vocabulary.
  • Interpersonal skills to work as part of a medical team by establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with physicians, medical staff, colleagues, co-workers, patients, and the public.
  • Ability to set priorities to multiple tasks, shifting demands, deadlines, and a heavy workload.
  • Writing skills to maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and logs.
  • Ability to work with self-initiative and minimum supervision in the performance of nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Interpersonal skills to relate to patients of all age groups or their families with sensitivity and compassion.
