Job Description




As a Security Officer Part-Time Patrol Driver in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential community, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and resident concerns with calm, professional communication. You will document activity, report maintenance or policy issues, and collaborate with site teams to support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by following site-specific, security-related procedures, access guidelines, and customer service standards.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of apartment community areas including buildings, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and resident concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner, and contact appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor and document security-related activity, suspicious behavior, and maintenance or hazard observations, and complete reports and logs in accordance with site requirements.
  • Support property operations by assisting with controlled access, key and/or credential accountability as assigned, and communication with onsite management regarding security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Have a state, county, or city issued security license, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Have alarm panel experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
