Senior .NET 8 / SQL Developer (with CI/CD Experience)

Peraton is seeking a Senior .NET.8/SQL Developer with CI/CD experience to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals.

This position is remote.

The Senior .NET 8 / SQL Developer is responsible for designing and implementing backend services, APIs, and database structures supporting an application modernization initiative. This role develops scalable .NET application services, implements data persistence using SQL Server, and ensures that system functionality integrates seamlessly with the existing EFMS architecture. The developer works closely with front-end engineers, architects, and QA personnel to deliver reliable backend functionality within the sprint-based delivery framework.

The Senior .NET Developer also contributes to the DevSecOps pipeline by implementing automated builds, database migrations, and deployment validation processes. This role ensures that backend services meet security, performance, and reliability requirements consistent with state IT standards.

Day to Day Roles and Responsibilities:

Design and develop RESTful APIs using .NET 8
• Implement data persistence and schema design using SQL Server
• Develop stored procedures, queries, and data access layers
• Implement business logic supporting EFMS forms and workflow functionality
• Integrate backend services into CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments
• Perform performance optimization and database tuning
• Conduct peer code reviews and mentor other developers

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree and 8 years of experience or a Masters degree and 6 years of experience or an Associates degree and 10 years of experience or a High School diploma and 12 years of experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
• 7+ years of software development experience with a strong focus on modern web applications.
• 5+ years developing enterprise applications using .NET technologies
• Strong experience with SQL Server database design and query optimization
• Experience implementing REST APIs and service-oriented architectures
• Experience integrating applications with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
• Familiarity with secure coding standards and application security practices
