We are in search of a Data Operations Analyst I or Data Operations Analyst II to join our Data Management department in Spokane, Washington (Headquarters). This full-time position reports to the VP, Data Governance and Operations and works with the modern data platform to provide operational support ensuring that data is available for AgWest systems and users. This position monitors operations, provides access to systems & data, facilitates change management, and administers data governance tools.

After an initial in-office training period, this position is eligible for workplace flexibility and a one-time home office stipend. Employees are expected to continue working from their office location a minimum of 50% or 60% of the time depending on location.

Compensation Information

The base salary range for this position in Spokane, Washington is:

Level I:
Typical starting range: $60,000 - $80,300
Full base salary range: $60,000 - $99,900
Annual performance-based incentive target is 8 or 10% of base depending on experience.

Level II:
Typical starting range: $72,600 - $99,900
Full base salary range: $72,600 - $113,600
Annual performance-based incentive target is 10% of base.

Job Requirements



  • Develop, monitor, and maintain overnight and scheduled data feeds to ensure timely, accurate, and reliable data availability across the platform.
  • Coordinate with overnight operational support coverage team regarding activities and events to ensure consistent service.
  • Provide clear, timely incident communication to stakeholders, including issue status, impact, resolution progress, and postincident followup.
  • Support cloud resources, including configuration, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance of Azure services to support data platform operations.
  • Administer and maintain data governance tools to support data quality, lineage, cataloging, and access controls across the data platform.
  • Manage data platform access, permissions, and user provisioning, including regular audits to ensure compliance with security, governance, and organizational policy.
  • Coordinate with third party vendors on work tasks, troubleshooting, and updates.
  • Promote data to production and other environments through mature operational process, collecting required artifacts to maintain the trust and integrity of the data platform.
  • Respond to data processing incidents that may require adjustments to code, processes, or data handling to complete data collection.
  • Update documentation for the data platform, its processes, and its features.
  • Provide cost management for Azure resources and sunsets unneeded components.
  • Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Generally, requires one to three years' technical experience in computer operations or related field
  • Experience managing pipeline orchestration and ETL processes
  • Experience using DevOps for code management and deployment
  • Ability to read, modify, and write SQL statements to query databases
  • Experiencing creating and configuring cloud infrastructure, cloud resources, and networking
  • Intellectual curiosity and ability to structure and solve problems


Preferred Requirements



  • Experience with Databricks and Unity Catalog
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure creating, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting resources including storage accounts, key vaults, databases, and networking
  • Experience with Data Governance tools to manage data quality, data lineage, and data catalogs
  • Experience managing and utilizing Azure DevOps for code deployment
  • Experience with Terraform for deploying infrastructure
  • Experience reading, modifying, and creating python code
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft data products
  • Experience writing and maintaining technical documentation including diagrams
