Job Title: Practice Coordinator

Location(s): San Francisco, CA

Position Overview:
The Practice Coordinator provides healthcare administrative support within the Orthopaedic Surgery Spine Center. This role includes front desk operations, patient coordination, and administrative support for providers and care teams. The coordinator will help ensure efficient patient flow, accurate scheduling, and a positive patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform front desk duties including patient check-in and registration.
  • Submit prior authorization requests as required.
  • Schedule surgeries and coordinate related appointments.
  • Provide administrative support for providers and clinical teams.
  • Manage incoming calls and route appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Ensure excellent customer service for patients and visitors.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of healthcare administrative experience.
  • Experience with front desk operations in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience checking in patients, submitting prior authorizations, and scheduling surgeries.
  • Experience providing administrative support to provider teams.
  • APeX (Epic) experience required.

  • Professional phone etiquette.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to learn.

Additional Information:

  • Estimated call volume: 15-20 calls per day.
  • Assignment will remain at one campus for the duration.
  • Temporary position only; no temp-to-perm opportunity.
