ABOUT THE ROLE

The Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and inspections throughout the production facility to ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently. This role includes inspecting, troubleshooting, and maintaining a wide range of facility systems and production equipment. This position also requires the appropriate license to operate boiler systems within the production facility.

Salary range $25-$31.21/Hour. Based on location and experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and facility equipment issues to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, air, and hydraulic systems
  • Verify functionality of safety systems and address any deficiencies or hazards immediately
  • Install, set up, and maintain production equipment and facility appliances as required
  • Inspect and troubleshoot control panels, wiring, and electrical components to identify and resolve issues
  • Operate and inspect facility equipment including overhead cranes, forklifts, and travel lifts (Drotts)
  • Maintain or obtain required boiler operator license and safely operate boiler systems as needed
  • Follow all company safety policies, Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, and BSP/housekeeping standards
  • Perform maintenance duties in both indoor and outdoor environments as required by facility needs
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records and support scheduling of preventative maintenance activities


WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

A strong Plant Maintenance Technician candidate is a hands-on, safety-focused problem solver who keeps production equipment and facility systems operating reliably and efficiently. They are skilled in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and utility systems, and take a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, and able to work independently or as part of a team while maintaining high standards of quality, communication, and safety.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE



  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical training in general maintenance, welding, or electrical systems preferred
  • Boiler experience preferred, with willingness to obtain required boiler operator license if needed
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
  • Motivated, self-driven, and able to work both independently and as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and managers


WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS



  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
  • Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
  • Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (Depending on location)
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
