Lab Technician - Great Falls (Part-time) As a part of our quality group, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day quality support, including analytical testing, data entry, and supporting our safety and quality programs.

Shift hours:

  • Flexible schedule
  • Weekend days are negotiable
  • Average 30 hours per week

Schedule flexibility is required for potential rotating weekend work, overtime, and off-shift coverage as needed.

Pay:

  • $21.50 per hour

The Great Falls plant provides growth opportunities, with production operators frequently promoted to team leaders. What your day will look like:

  • ENSURING product quality by performing daily analytical, chemical, and physical testing on in-process materials and finished goods.
  • MAINTAINING a safe and sanitary laboratory by caring for equipment, managing supplies, and adhering to good manufacturing practices.
  • COLLABORATING with the team by communicating test results, supporting various departments, and assisting the Food Safety & Quality Manager.
  • DRIVING our quality programs through precise data entry, performing quality audits, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.

What you have to offer:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills (Word and Excel preferred)
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and take on additional responsibilities

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, and kneeling
  • Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs or ladders
  • Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, and noisy environmental working conditions
  • Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
