GENERAL FUNCTIONS

The Supplier Quality Manager leads Oakley's Supplier Quality Program related to eyewear finished goods and related pre-assembly components and external processes such as raw material ( like but not limited to PA, PC, Rubber) lens molding, lens cutting, lens tinting, eyewear frame painting and pad printing, Frame injection molding.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Drives analysis related to Oakley's Supplier Quality performance ensuring reliability of the supply chain in terms of Product compliance, On time delivery due to Quality/Product issues and establishing relationship with each supplier to drive and monitor continuous improvement activities and Supplier Development.
  • Leads efforts & focus on product quality problems and gives direction to systematically drive improvements for those problems
  • Responsible of driving timely disposition of non-conforming material in order to limit to the minimum (ideally 0) the LT to process material and the value of commodities on hold in the MRB location.
  • Drives improvement to reduce LT of goods inspection leveraging on statistical process control and developing proper visibility and activities at Supplier facilities.
  • Participate and represent Quality within the Table for 4 activities (Act as Quality reference during Supplier selection, new supplier approval and during "make VS buy" decision making process.
  • Drives improvement projects based Internal Failure, Non Conformity and Product improvements
  • Works globally with Global SQM organization within EssilorLuxottica to align the brand expectations for quality being able to establish connection and leverage on those resources to work on specific project involving suppliers in Asia or Europe
  • Strong collaboration and partnership with each Business Unit; Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing and other End to End supply chain functions.
  • Annual Budgeting to align with Annual Operating Plan and / or 3 to 5 year manufacturing forecast
  • Attracts, retains and mentors the highest caliber quality engineering personnel
  • Works safety and maintains a safe, organized and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed.
  • Leads a team of 3 direct reports (Supplier Quality Engineers and Supervisors) and up to 5 indirect reports (Product Inspectors)



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality
  • Experience leading Quality Engineers / Managers in a manner that drives the quality culture in a fast paced MFG environment.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems, quality process controls, material performance testing and has a solid understanding of Advanced Product Quality Planning.

  • Master's degree preferred

Pay Range: $102,770.13 - $154,435.80
