Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Officer in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will control access, respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, and document observations with clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
  • Perform armed post duties in accordance with licensing requirements, site instructions, and Allied Universal guidelines, including maintaining proper weapon retention, responsible handling practices, and required documentation.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, requesting law enforcement and/or medical support when appropriate, and completing detailed incident reports.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, cash handling and/or vault-adjacent zones as directed, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify irregular conditions.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify authorization for entry, observe for suspicious behaviors, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
