You will maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents, respond to calls for service, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and the public. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at a government location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Perform armed patrol duties in accordance with post orders, applicable laws, and Allied Universal guidelines, including maintaining required firearms qualifications and equipment inspections.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with on-site personnel and local first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity through approved reporting channels.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying identification, monitoring entrances, and completing visitor and/or vehicle logs in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
  • Possess a Corrections Officer License.
  • Provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR an Associates Degree with 60 college credits OR a Police Academy Certificate OR a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
