Responsibilities

Strattec Security Corporation (Nasdaq listed STRT) designs, develops and manufactures highly engineered products primarily for the automotive industry. Headquartered in Glendale WI, Strattec has a history spanning over 110 years of providing innovative security, user interface and power access products including power sliding doors, door handles, lift gates, latches, key fobs, steering column & ignition locks and related solutions. The Company's largest customers are three leading automotive OEMs in North America, but products are also shipped to other original equipment manufacturers ("OEMs") around the world.

Strattec is seeking a motivated Summer Intern to join our finance and accounting team for an exciting internship opportunity. This role provides students with meaningful, hands-on experience in a professional environment while supporting a variety of projects and daytoday departmental activities.

You will collaborate closely with team members and gain exposure to business processes, tools, and projects, while building valuable skills for future career growth. This 11 week internship program will provide a blend of comprehensive real world experience, networking events and development opportunities.

Responsibilities:

SEC & External Reporting

    Assist in the preparation of periodic SEC filings, including the Annual Report on Form 10-K, Earnings Release, and the Annual Proxy Statement
  • Support footnote drafting and perform detailed tie-outs across financial statements, earnings releases, and SEC filings to ensure consistency of reported figures
  • Assist with XBRL tagging of financial statements and related disclosures under the direction of the Assistant Controller

Corporate Consolidation & Internal Reporting

  • Support the monthly financial consolidation process and assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements across business units
  • Assist with the month-end close process by helping build and maintain reports within the Company's consolidation and reporting tool, ensuring data integrity and consistency across consolidated results
  • Prepare internal reporting packages, including participating in variance analysis on consolidated results for management review

Technical Accounting & Disclosure Research

  • Research technical accounting topics under US GAAP and assist in evaluating applicability to the Company's financial reporting
  • Conduct peer benchmarking of competitor and industry SEC filings to support disclosure best practices and policy updates

External Audit Support

  • Assist in coordinating external auditor requests during year-end audit, including preparing supporting schedules and documentation
  • Help manage the flow of information between internal teams and external auditors to support timely completion of audit procedures


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Self-motivated and intellectually curious, with a genuine interest in external reporting, SEC filings, and financial consolidation
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to team members and leadership
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a highly visible corporate accounting and finance function

Additional Information

  • Schedule: Full-time during the summer months
  • Location: On-site 5 days per week.
