Description

The Defense Sensors Business Development team is seeking a Business Development Operations Analyst to support and enhance business development (BD) operations. This role is responsible for executing data management processes, improving BD workflows, and supporting strategic growth initiatives.

The analyst will also track New Business Funds (NBF) in coordination with the Defense Sensors Finance team and may support broader business development activities such as evaluating mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, and new market opportunities to ensure alignment with organizational strategy.

This role requires a proactive, adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong organizational and communication skills, and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure accuracy of business development pipeline data and resolve discrepancies
  • Track contract awards in coordination with marketing leadership
  • Monitor New Business Funds (NBF) spending and flag potential risks
  • Support and implement pipeline management processes and procedures
  • Coordinate Gate Reviews with Business Development and Capture teams
  • Facilitate collaboration across internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor resource assignments (Capture Managers, Solution Architects)
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews to resolve data discrepancies
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Support opportunity development and growth initiatives
  • Monitor market and competitor activity

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience (internships applicable)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Basic understanding of business development concepts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting business development or pipeline management
  • Familiarity with pipeline tools and/or Power BI
  • Experience building dashboards and reports
  • Experience with multiple business systems
  • Knowledge of government contracting
