Job Summary

Coordinates the day-to-day activities of a project. Oversees and ensures the collection of data. Assists the Principal Investigator in short and long-range resource planning for the project. Works closely with the Principal Investigator in the implementation of activities associated with research and projects.

  • Coordinates the day-to-day activities of the project. Works closely with the Principal Investigator in the implementation of the approved study protocol.
  • Supports the project by developing study operations and procedures; adhering to the approved study protocol; and communicating the guidelines based on the study protocol to lower-level staff.
  • Oversees data collection, compilation, and documentation of research data. May assist in the analysis and/or interpretation of research data.
  • Oversees and prepares data collection materials and data management.
  • Recruits research participants and administers screening and baseline interviews. Oversees research interviewers administering follow up assessments.
  • Ensures that all study protocols are followed and reports on any protocol deviations.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with participants and Principal Investigators.
  • Works closely with the PI in developing guidelines for the research study.
  • Assists with the preparation of study or proposals, including estimates of costs associated with study, methodology, editing proposal, and obtaining approvals.
  • Assists the principal investigator in submitting IRB amendments and obtaining IRB approval. Troubleshoots and communicates with the principal investigator regarding any issues
  • Participates in development of protocols, forms, materials, and procedures manuals.
  • May recommend changes on policy and procedures as necessary.
  • May supervise lower-level staff.
  • Assists the principal investigator in the preparation of any reports to the sponsor and/or the data safety monitoring board.
  • Handles all payments for research participants.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience.
