Job Summary

The College Recruit I serves as a key liaison between the Division of External Programs program directors and prospective graduate students. Provides guidance to students on academic matters and serves as the lead recruiter for all graduate degree programs within the Division of External Programs. Works closely with the Office of University Admissions to ensure the efficient coordination and execution of recruitment and admission activities, demonstrating independent decision-making authority, judgment. Processes graduate admissions documentation, facilitating, submitting, and routing graduate assistantship contracts, and acting as a liaison between graduate students, the Dean's Office, and Central HR. This position ensures the efficient operation and continued success of the Division of External Programs graduate programs

  • Assists with the development of the units recruitment plan to include email and telephone campaigns. Works with the Program Director to meet departmental enrollment goals. Reviews recruitment records, analyzes data, and maintains a comprehensive communication plan.
  • Reviews data to determine recruitment/sales effectiveness and impact on applicants and enrollment objectives for targeted populations. Research targeted prospective lists for recruitment efforts.
  • Compiles and analyzes statistical data for routine periodic ad hoc reports. Prepare regular recruitment activity reports, conduct statistical analysis and enrollment projections.
  • Recommends and implements new outreach strategies for recruitment in untapped geographic areas.
  • Provides Information Sessions for programs supported by the Division of External Programs to prospective students either in person or virtually. Assists in the promotion of information sessions through emails to target lists and completes after-event follow-ups. Attend on-campus and virtual recruitment events, participation at recruitment related conferences and hosts weekly/monthly on-campus tabling sessions and other events as needed.
  • Collaborates with the college marketing team and Senior Full Stack Engineer to promote recruitment events on social media channels and participates in networking opportunities by regularly connecting with industry experts, alumni, prospective students, etc. through LinkedIn.
  • Evaluates applications for admission and review supporting academic credentials to determine admissibility. Works with the Department Admissions Committees to ensure timely admission decisions and serves as units liaison between the Admissions Office and the Office of International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) where appropriate.
  • Ensures compliance with State and Federal regulations such as, FERPA, US Immigration, and University policies and procedures.
  • Reviews and collaborates with departments and units to ensure that program webpages and recruitment pieces are updated with admission/application dates and deadlines, information session dates, etc.
  • Interprets admissions and/or registration administrative rules and policies and recommends new and improved programs and systems to effectively manage admissions and/or registration administration.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 1 year of relevant experience or a Master's Degree.

  • Experience in recruitment, sales and/or marketing.
