Responsibilities

A C4 Systems Operation and Performance analyst typically plays a critical role in executing and enhancing the performance of C4 (Command, Control, Communications, and Computers) systems within an organization. They are responsible for ensuring the effective operation, maintenance, and performance of these systems, which are vital in mission-critical environments, particularly in defense or government sectors.

Job Overview:

The C4 Systems Operation and Performance Analyst will be responsible for managing and optimizing the operational performance of C4 systems and ensuring the successful integration and functionality of command, control, communications, and computer systems. This individual will conduct in-depth analysis on various C4 systems and work closely with cross-functional teams, including technical experts, engineers, and operational personnel, to ensure the understanding of the systems under evaluation is in line with feasible performance characteristics and are aligned with the organization's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

    Systems Operations Analysis: perform the day-to-day operations of C4 systems, ensuring continuous availability, functionality, and optimal performance.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to resolve issues that impact system efficiency or functionality.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Lead efforts in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving operational issues and performance gaps within C4 systems.
  • System Optimization: Proactively identify opportunities for improving system performance and suggest upgrades, enhancements, or configuration adjustments to meet operational needs.
  • Integration and Deployment: assist in the deployment and integration of new C4 systems or system upgrades. Ensure the smooth transition from development to operational environments.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work with stakeholders including technical teams, project managers, and senior leadership to ensure that systems meet performance requirements, operational goals, and user expectations.
  • Documentation: Ensure comprehensive documentation is maintained for all systems, including performance metrics, issues, resolutions, and optimization strategies.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to staff on the operation and troubleshooting of C4 systems.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure systems are compliant with relevant standards, regulations, and security protocols.


Qualifications

5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience/understanding in the analysis, operation, and performance behavior of C4 systems or similar technologies.
  • Strong background in system performance management, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • In-depth understanding of C4 system components, including communication networks, command and control systems, and computer systems.
  • Experience with performance optimization, diagnostics, and resolution of technical issues.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a poly
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in defense, government, or military sectors is highly desirable
  • Experience with military or defense communication systems.
  • Knowledge of network management tools and performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity and information assurance principles.
  • Spaced based EO/IR experience
  • Test & Evaluation (T&E) experience. Work will be needed to develop test plans to explore system limitations

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
