Peeler Machine Operator- 3rd Shift

We are currently recruiting for a Peeler Machine Operator to work Third Shift at our facility in Algona, WA. As a Peeler Operator, you will be responsible for operating controls to manage the flow of raw product from the peeler to conveyor belts, as well as trimming and cutting potatoes and removing unacceptable product. This position also assists in the fry room as needed.

This position works on 3rd Shift, Monday-Friday, 10:30 PM - 6:15 AM, with some Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Operate peeler machine and conveyors to maintain consistent product flow.
• Monitor potato slicer to ensure quality standards are met.
• Trim and cut potatoes and discard defective product.
• Run water filtration system as needed.
• Monitor the wastewater pump.
• Change water in hydro lift daily.
• Keep workstation clean and organized.
• Assist fry room operator with changing and cleaning slicer heads and maintaining fry room cleanliness.
• Follow key shutdown procedures when there is a problem in the fry room.
• Monitor auto-stir fryer during lunch periods.
• Notify Supervisor or Team Lead of any issues.

Requirements:

• Experience working in a food manufacturing or food processing environment preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude or prior experience working with equipment/machinery preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment under pressure.
• Ability to work in warm and/or hot environments for extended periods of time.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds.
• Basic computer and communication skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Starting payrate: $19.89 per hour + Shift Differential $1.00
