Delivery Driver | Residential Trash Cans

Waste Connections is seeking a safety-minded Cart Delivery Driver to join our team.

No CDL Required (CDL Preferred)

Pay: $20.50 per hour

About the Role

We provide reliable solid waste and recycling services to the communities we serve. As a Cart Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering, exchanging, and retrieving residential trash and recycling carts throughout assigned neighborhoods. This role plays a key part in ensuring new and existing customers receive the proper waste containers in a timely and professional manner.

Essential Job Duties

• Safely operate a non-CDL delivery vehicle on residential streets and in subdivisions
• Deliver, exchange, and retrieve residential trash and recycling carts per route instructions
• Read and follow daily route sheets and delivery schedules
• Load, unload, and maneuver carts, including rolling, lifting, and positioning containers at customer locations
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Interact courteously and professionally with customers and community members
• Maintain awareness of surroundings, including pedestrians, parked vehicles, and traffic conditions
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Work Environment

This position involves hands-on, physical work in outdoor environments year-round. Candidates should be comfortable with:

• Frequent walking, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting carts
• Repeated entry and exit from the delivery vehicle
• Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind
• Moderate noise levels and working around moving vehicles and equipment
• Residential settings such as neighborhoods, alleyways, and driveways

Minimum Job Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid Driver's License
• Acceptable driving record and clean MVR
• Ability to perform physical labor throughout the workday
• Strong attention to safety and customer service
