About the Role

Join our growing Business Intelligence team supporting Retail Corporate Services at JLL. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in modern analytics and Power Platform solutions while working directly with our Director of BI. You'll contribute to data analytics, reporting, and application development that directly impacts our client operations and decision-making.

This is an ideal position for someone early in their BI career who wants to expand their technical skillset in a dynamic, hands-on environment where you'll have direct mentorship and exposure to cutting-edge business intelligence solutions.

What You'll Do

Reporting & Analytics (Primary Focus):

  • Develop and maintain business intelligence reports and dashboards using Power BI, SSRS, and Power BI Report Builder
  • Create both internal and external client-facing reports and dashboards including portfolio summaries, site reports, and custom analytics packages
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources
  • Support Tableau reporting as needed
  • Ensure data accuracy and reporting quality across all deliverables

Power Platform Development (Growing Responsibility):

  • Contribute to PowerApps development for client portals and workflow solutions
  • Assist with Power Automate flows for process automation
  • Support existing production applications used across multiple client accounts
  • Participate in requirements gathering and solution design discussions

Collaboration & Growth:

  • Work closely with the Director of BI to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Retail Corporate Services
  • Apply strong problem-solving abilities to overcome technical challenges independently
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and BI best practices

What You'll Bring

Required:

  • Strong proficiency in Power BI (dashboard development, DAX, data modeling)
  • Solid SQL skills and understanding of relational databases
  • Experience with Power BI Report Builder or SSRS
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and find solutions through research and resourcefulness
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data quality
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and business audiences

Highly Preferred:

  • Experience with Power Automate
  • Familiarity with other Power Platform tools (PowerApps, Dataverse)
  • Experience with Alteryx for data preparation and transformation
  • Understanding of data visualization best practices

Nice to Have:

  • Python experience
  • Background in real estate or retail industries
  • Exposure to AI/Copilot integration concepts

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field, OR equivalent demonstrated experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting roles
  • Portfolio or examples of BI work (dashboards, reports) preferred

What Success Looks Like

Year One:

  • Master our reporting stack and take ownership of regular client deliverables
  • Contribute to PowerApps projects and understand our application architecture
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and understand business needs
  • Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot and solve technical challenges independently

Year Two:

  • Lead development on reporting projects from requirements through delivery
  • Co-develop PowerApps solutions and automation workflows
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and new analytical insights

You're someone who brings solid technical fundamentals and is hungry to expand your capabilities. You're comfortable with the Microsoft BI stack but excited about the opportunity to grow into Power Platform development and emerging technologies. You take ownership of your work, ask thoughtful questions when you need clarity, and proactively seek opportunities to contribute beyond your immediate assignments. You're energized by the prospect of direct mentorship and the chance to shape your own growth trajectory in a small, collaborative team environment.

Estimated compensation for this position:

70,000.00 - 75,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
