Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at CUMC

The Department of Anesthesiology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC), Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, invites candidates for research faculty positions at all levels. Situated on a 20-acre campus in Northern Manhattan, CUIMC provides global leadership in scientific research, health and medical education, and patient care. We are seeking motivated and highly skilled anesthesiologists who demonstrate a strong academic commitment and a genuine interest in developing innovative research programs related to clinical care, education, research, or operations. Responsibilities will include and active participation in departmental activities.

This Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at CUIMC position is a research position intended to allow the candidate to work with existing researchers in the department to set the foundation and build a structure for future independent research in Anesthesiology. The candidate will assist with study design for existing PIs, assist with training of students, fellows, technicians and lab assistants, and explore current research topics within Anesthesiology, both internal and external.

• MD, MD/PhD, or DO degree
• Completion of residency in anesthesiology
