Description As the Release Train Engineer (RTE) for Technology Infrastructure, you are accountable for how an ~18-team train prepares for and executes the Planning Interval (PI). You facilitate PI Planning and train-level routines, enable transparency and metrics-driven execution, optimize end-to-end flow of value, and drive continuous improvement through disciplined follow-through. This role is PI-cadence critical: preparation for the next PI begins as soon as PI Planning for the current PI completes and continues in parallel with current PI execution. Servant leader at train scale: removes friction, protects team focus, and builds trust across Product, Engineering, Architecture, Ops, and governance partners. PI Planning "orchestrator" who drives outcomes, not theater: prepares presenters, runs tight timeboxes, makes decisions visible, and ensures PI Planning produces clear objectives, dependencies, and risks with owners. Readiness gatekeeper with pragmatic discipline: uses PI preparation checklists, ensures epics meet Definition of Ready/Done expectations, prevents unprioritized/unready work from entering the PI, and makes readiness gaps visible early. Dependency and risk system-thinker: makes cross-team dependencies explicit, keeps them alive after PI Planning, uses ROAM effectively, and escalates with good judgment when teams cannot unblock themselves.
