HAVE TO BE LOCATED IN OMAHA, NE or LENEXA, KS Overview We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a fastmoving, collaborative engineering team supporting a variety of internal web applications. The team works across 20-30 internally used products ranging from small, simple tools to evolving platforms with ambiguous requirements and plenty of work in the pipeline. This role is ideal for an adaptable engineer who enjoys learning new technologies, taking ownership, and delivering value quickly in an environment that feels more like a startup than a traditional enterprise. What You'll Do * Develop and enhance internal web applications with a frontend focus and fullstack awareness * Collaborate with stakeholders to define next steps for projects with evolving or unclear requirements * Build and consume APIs and work with databases to support application functionality * Contribute to application design and usability-developers are expected to have a strong design aesthetic * Participate in CI/CD processes and support cloudbased deployments * Communicate clearly with teammates across engineering and non-technical groups Required Skills & Experience * 3+ years of professional software development experience * Strong JavaScript experience with modern frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular * Frontend-focused skillset with a solid understanding of fullstack development * Experience with API development and familiarity with databases * Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) * Experience with modern UI frameworks (Bootstrap, Tailwind, Ant Design, ShadCN, etc.) * Comfortable working in environments with limited structure and changing priorities * Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset * Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow with the team Nice to Have * Experience with Docker / containerization * Backend experience using Python or PHP * Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines * Exposure to observability and monitoring tools Work Environment * Fastpaced and highly iterative development style * Small, collaborative engineering team (~10 developers) * Culture emphasizes experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement * Focused on building technology that supports realworld operational and workforce needs Why This Role * Opportunity to contribute to meaningful internal tools used at scale * Exposure to a wide range of technologies and projects * Handson role with the ability to make an immediate impact * Potential for longerterm alignment for the right fit Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $7.25 - $7.26/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
