About CECH-IT

The College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services and Information Technology (CECH-IT) is dedicated to making a difference in our communities through outreach, academic programs, and community partnerships. Our students and faculty work side-by-side with educators, athletic directors, community wellness experts, cybersecurity analysts, and local, state and federal law enforcement officials. Job Overview

The School of Education is seeking a Project Coordinator to manage a National Institutes of Health multi-year grant. The project coordinator position is a hybrid, 12-month, 30 hour per week, 75% FTE, unique opportunity to collaborate with researchers, UC graduate assistants and teachers, administrators, and youth in high schools.


This position is supported by grant funding with a start date July 1, 2026 and end date June 30, 2027 with the possibility to renew annually for up to three years.

Essential Functions

  • Communicating with school personnel, research team members, and community partners
  • Supporting curriculum design and high school teaching
  • Supporting IRB and human subject activities
  • Maintaining and organizing records and documentation related to program implementation
  • Coordinating meetings and major project activities and events
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, sociology, communications, or related field.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement

Required Experience

  • 1 year of practical experience working with youth in a school or community setting is required.

Preferred Qualifications Considered

  • Advanced degree or graduate-level coursework
  • Experience with curriculum design
  • Experience managing a research project
  • Highly organized
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledgeable about research principles, design, and strategies
  • Knowledgeable about Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR)
  • Leadership experience
