Role Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to manage the end-to-end purchasing lifecycle for critical apparatus categories. This role is perfect for a professional who thrives in SAP ECC and understands the mechanics of supply chain automation. You will be responsible for executing purchase instruments, maintaining master data (Source Lists/Outline Agreements), and ensuring contractual integrity across all procurement activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • SAP Operations: Execute and manage the full lifecycle of Purchase Orders (POs), Change Orders, and Requisitions within the SAP ECC Materials Management (MM) module.
  • System Maintenance: Develop and maintain Outline Agreements and Source Lists to ensure seamless procurement flow.
  • Automation & Efficiency: Monitor and optimize PO Automation processes across multiple apparatus categories to improve departmental cycle times.
  • Sourcing & RFPs: Lead the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including fact-finding, price/cost analysis, source selection, and bidder briefings.
  • Supplier Management: Monitor supplier performance (cost, quality, and schedule compliance) and lead on-site audits or assessments to qualify and develop the supply base.
  • Contractual Integrity: Review and incorporate appropriate regulations, flow-down requirements, and special terms and conditions into procurement packages.
  • Ariba Integration: Utilize Ariba for sourcing events and supplier collaboration.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated professional experience).
  • Technical Mastery: Hands-on experience with SAP ECC (specifically Materials Management) is a core requirement for this role.
  • Procurement Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of financial analysis, activity-based costing, and supply chain methodology.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to negotiate and mediate conflicts between customers and suppliers.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with state/federal regulations and the protection of proprietary data.
  • Small Business Support: Commitment to supporting corporate goals for small and disadvantaged business participation.
