Job Description

This position willlead a variety of medium Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) integrations and CAPEXprojects with cross-functional teams to apply PMO principles and Lean tools to ensure Quest Diagnostics isefficientand effective inthe delivery of its services, solutions, and processeswhile improving customerand employeesatisfaction.This position will also be responsible for coaching others to learn and apply Lean and PMO principles and tools to their daily work.The Sr. Manager drives accountability through others by providing project management and tracking and helps troubleshoot and enable solutions, while reporting out on risks that require additional support to mitigate. The Sr. Manager operates in a fast-paced environment while representing Quest's purpose and culture.

This is an Onsite position.

Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days Onsite/ 2 days work from Home)

Pay Range: $110,000 - $130,000/ year

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Responsibilities:
  • Leads projects and working teams to effectively initiate, plan, execute, monitor, and closeprojects
    • Leadsprojects
      • Leads projectsthrough issues, roadblocks, andproblems
      • Acts as a change agent to drive teamstowardsuccess
      • Guides team members to perform through issues andconstraints
    • Ownsprojects
      • Owns the timeline, budget, resource constraints, and deliverables/results
      • Shifts between the "big picture" and the small-but-crucialdetails
      • Is prepared to roll up their sleeves and work through detailedissues
    • Managesprojects
      • Ensures all appropriate tools are completed and used effectively (e.g., charter,Ganttchart, status updates)
    • Communicates
      • Actively communicates with project sponsors andstakeholders
      • Establishes regular points ofcommunication
      • Manages sponsor and stakeholdersexpectations
    • Delivers the expectedresults
      • Performs root cause analysis on project shortfalls and takes corrective action asnecessary
      • Is able to deliver project closure and results on accelerated timelines as necessary
  • Applies project management tools and techniques, as well as other Lean principles andtools, toward a variety oflarge,and likely inter-related,projects
  • Coaches other employees onthe use of various tools, concepts and practices foundational to Lean/Six Sigmainorderfor Quest Diagnostics employeesto build self-sufficiency, sustainability andscalability
  • Participates in Communities of Practice

Qualifications:

Required WorkExperience:

  • Demonstrated experience leading projects from initiation to completion(4 to 6years experience)

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carryingobjects
  • Frequent walking and/or standing.

Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated experience facilitating discussions across cross-functional teams and leading conversations to move along project deliverables
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships withothers

  • Demonstrated ability to influence businessleaders
  • Demonstrated data analysisskills(use of PowerBI/Tableau to build dashboards is preferred)
  • Some experience in continuous improvement

  • General knowledge of Hoshin and breakthrough planning
  • Ability to assess project impact to customer experience
