Location: Charlotte, NC (Candidate will have the flexibility to work out of their home office but must reside within a 50-mile radius of ORC's Charlotte, NC office)

The HR Generalist in the People Operations department is responsible for executing and continuously improving employee lifecycle processes, onboarding, HR systems governance, compliance tracking, and workforce data administration.

Partnering closely with the People Ops Business Partner and Total Rewards Specialist, this role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of People processes while supporting workforce analytics and organizational growth. You will also work collaboratively with Accounting on payroll integrity.

This position plays a critical role in building the operational foundation necessary to support ORC's continued expansion and potential acquisitions.

What You'll Do



  • Manage the full employee change lifecycle, including promotions, transfers, and terminations
  • Monitor and triage incoming requests through the ticketing system, ensuring timely assignment and resolution
  • Coordinate onboarding and pre-employment processes to deliver a seamless new hire experience
  • Maintain and update people systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with governance standards
  • Support reporting and analytics by compiling, analyzing, and distributing HR data and insights
  • Execute compliance-related tasks, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Administer performance management processes, including review cycles and documentation tracking
  • Create and maintain process documentation to improve efficiency and standardization across HR operations
  • Review and approve employee timesheets to ensure accuracy and alignment with company policies

Minimum Requirements



  • Minimum of (3) three years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, or similar roles
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong HRIS and systems proficiency
  • Must have payroll coordination and employee lifecycle processing experience
  • Must own an iOS or Android smartphone to access ORC systems
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship/visa


Bonus Points if you have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development or related field and/or a Professional HR Certificate - PHR or SHRM-CP!

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to clearly communicate and exchange information in person, via phone and email. Substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers due to high amounts of computer usage and typing. Expected to spend long spans of time in front of a computer screen. Able to read, understand and interpret department related documents and data. This is a largely sedentary role; however, the employee is occasionally required to move about inside the office to access files, office equipment and to interact with other members of the staff.
