GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: The Material Planner / Production Control Coordinatoriis responsible foriowning MRP execution, production planning, and material control system integrity to ensureiaccurate,itimely, and executable plans that support engineering, manufacturing, and program delivery. This role serves as the primary system owner and operator of MRP/ERP (Costpoint) for material planning and production control, ensuring demand signals, BOMs, inventory, and schedules are aligned and translated into actionable work orders, purchase requirements, and production priorities. This position is a dedicated, full-time functionirequiredito ensure theiMRPiand production control systemioperatesiaccurately and effectively. It directly addresses the need for focused ownership of planning and inventory control, separate from execution roles such as Buyers, Kitting, and Shipping/Receiving. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS MRP Ownership & System Execution Serve as the primary user and owner of MRP/ERP (Costpoint) for planning and production controli Run MRP and ensure outputs (planned orders, shortages, signals) areiaccurateiand actionablei Maintainiplanning parameters including: Lead timesi Lot sizesi Safety stocki Order policiesi Validate system data to ensure reliable MRP outputsi Production Planning & Work Order Management Convert demand (program schedules, MPS, engineering builds) into: Work ordersi Planned production schedulesi Ensure work orders are: Released correctlyi Aligned with material availabilityi Sequenced based on prioritiesi Maintain alignment between: Production schedulei Material availabilityi Shop floor executioni Material Planning & Shortage Management Identifyiand manage material shortages and constraintsi Drive resolution of shortages through coordination with: Buyersi Supply Chaini Engineeringi Ensure materials are planned and available in alignment with production schedulesi Act as theicentral pointiof visibility for material readinessi Inventory Control & Data Integrity Ensure inventory accuracy within ERP/MRP systemsi Monitor andivalidate: On-hand inventoryi Allocationsi Work-in-process (WIP)i Keyword: supply chain, material planning, MRP, production control, scheduling, production planning Required Experience: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Required Strong understanding of: MRP/ERP systems (Costpoint preferred)i Production planning and controli Inventory management principlesi Ability to interpret: BOMsi Work ordersi Production schedulesi Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsi High attention to detail and data accuracyi Ability to manage complex, cross-functional coordinationi Strong communicationiskillsi Preferred Experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing environmentsi Familiarity with: AS9100D requirementsi Configuration management principlesi Experience in high-mix, low-volume production environmentsi EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Required Bacheloris degree in: Supply Chaini Operationsi Engineeringi or related disciplinei 3+iyears of experience in: Material planningi Production controli MRP/ERP system executioni Preferred Experience implementing or scaling MRP systemsi Experience in growth-stage manufacturing environmentsi WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Office and manufacturing environmentsi Frequent interaction with production floor and inventory areasi May require extended hours during production surges or system transitionsi TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS 0i10% asirequiredifor training, system implementation, or internal coordination THE ABOVE STATEMENTS ARE INTENDED TO DESCRIBE THE GENERAL NATURE AND LEVEL OF WORK BEING PERFORMED BY INDIVIDUALS ASSIGNED TO THIS CLASSIFICATION.
