Occupational Summary: The Director for Community Engagement is part of the Volunteer Engagement Strategy team within Duke Alumni Engagement and Development (AED). Duke's alumni body comprises 205K talented individuals who share a range of relationships with Duke. These alumni are connected through this shared interest, and the resulting communities are the backbone of connection back to the university. The focus of this work will be to evolve the strategy for these communities, help drive community-specific programming, and adopt best practices from across AED and our peer institutions. Additionally, the position will coordinate work between other groups that serve distinct communities, such as the Affinity Engagement, Reunion/Class Teams, and the Regional Team. Work Performed: Strategic Program Development.
Volunteer management/program execution.
Financial and data management.
This position will occasionally involve travel. Experience Work requires four years of experience in alumni affairs, public relations, program administration, marketing or related field to acquire the advanced skills necessary to direct the planning and coordination of social, educational, and community service activities and events. Degrees, Licensures, Certifications N/A Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $68,970.00 to USD $127,008.00.
