Your Job

As a Carrier Qualifications Specialist, you will support KBX Logistics and Georgia Pacific by maintaining a high quality, low risk carrier network. Primary focus will be monitoring carriers' DOT and insurance status, managing offboarding activities, ensuring data integrity across systems and partnering with internal teams to mitigate risk and improve processes.

The KBX Capacity Solutions Team plays a crucial role in ensuring freight moves efficiently and cost effectively for our customers. We specialize in building and managing strong carrier partnerships, forecasting and securing capacity across modes, and designing tailored solutions that balance reliability, cost-efficiency, and speed. Our team combines hands-on carrier management with data-driven planning and real-time execution to reduce disruptions, optimize utilization, and deliver transparent customer outcomes.

What You Will Do

  • Actively pursue proof of compliant insurance documents (certificate of insurance, endorsement pages) for carriers being onboarded and for active carriers servicing KBX Logistics and Georgia Pacific.
  • Perform thorough reviews of insurance documents to verify contractual compliance (coverage types, limits, additional insured, waiver of subrogation, effective/expire dates, certificate holder information etc.)
  • Maintain accurate, consistent qualification data across multiple systems to preserve data integrity and a reliable source of truth for carrier status
  • Monitor daily third-party vendor reporting for changes that would drive an immediate change to carrier status (authority, operating status, safety rating)
  • Promptly take action in KBX TM and related systems for carrier inactivation to protect against organizational risk
  • Prioritize time sensitive tasks and escalate risk events to leadership and managed freight when capacity is affected
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with carriers, insurance brokers and internal teams
  • Support Procurement and Compliance efforts, as business dictates

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience in Carrier Qualifications or Insurance Verification or Transportation
  • Experience cross-functional team collaboration with internal and external teams

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Transportation Logistics Experience
  • Direct experience in Carrier Qualifications
  • Direct experience in Carrier On-Boarding
  • Knowledge of insurance requirements, Certificates of Insurance, and endorsements
  • Experience monitoring DOT requirements and Safety Ratings
  • Experience in maintaining data accuracy in transportation management systems
  • Experience in transportation procurement and/or compliance processes
