Turf Operations Technician - Gold Star FS - Silvis, IL

REPORTS TO: Turf Specialist STATUS: Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $17 - 20/hr.

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Performs general labor duties to support the efficient operation of the turf location. Assists with warehouse activities, product handling, deliveries, facility maintenance, and customer service. Ensures work is completed safely, accurately, and in a timely manner while supporting team members and daily operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assists with daily turf operations and general labor responsibilities.
• Loads, unloads, and moves products in the warehouse and yard.
• Receives, stocks, and organizes inventory in designated areas.
• Assists with product deliveries using company vehicles, as assigned.
• Supports warehouse operations including stacking, staging, and cleanup.
• Operates forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently, as trained.
• Provides assistance to customers with product pickup and basic service needs.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of warehouse, facility, vehicles, and equipment.
• Assists with inventory counts and reports discrepancies to supervisor.
• Supports LP and Fuel 24 operations, including upkeep and required documentation, as assigned.
• Assists other locations as needed.
• Follows all company safety policies and procedures.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• General labor, warehouse, or turf/agriculture experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift 51-70 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate forklifts and equipment.
• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Ability to work extended hours and seasonal demands.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required certifications, including the ability to obtain a CDL as needed.
