KPMG is currently seeking an Associate, Safety and Physical Security Supervisor to join our Enterprise Security Services organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Set goals, offer feedback, and provide guidance for counselees and others across the security department; continually train, motivate and lead employees on their respective shift
  • Contribute to department projects to include process creation/refinement and influence outcome of department deliverables
  • Act as primary response to gather intake data for incidents which may occur on campus and provide this information to the Director; interact with all levels of firm employees up to and including the management committee
  • Execution of physical security policies and procedures, including but not limited to Access Control (badging, on/off-boarding), Visitor Management, Official Visits, Alarm Response and security related incidents; make independent decisions related to initial emergency responses while seeking direction for more complex issues
  • Shift oversight to the site/area wide campus safety program to include fire prevention reviews, hazard and safety self-assessments, and management of localized life safety related technology (such as, AEDs and fire extinguishers) pursuant to unique site requirements as applicable; self-initiate courses of action necessary to maintain the safety plan inclusive of timely mitigation plans; actively monitor security and fire/life safety operational risks and trends to identify risks, threats, and vulnerabilities
  • Maintain familiarity with and manage electronic security systems, including testing, inspection, and maintenance; arrange advance or ad hoc security preparation for Campus meetings and events and implementation of operational plans
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications:
  • Minimum one year of recent experience in security guard force in the hospitality industry; minimum three years of security experience overall
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required
  • Competency in managing emergency response/critical incidents, coordinating resources in conjunction with established processes
  • Strong verbal/written communication, problem solving, organizational and independent judgment skills to support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork. Ability to build productive relationships with peers
  • Effective delegation and time management skills
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule which may include weekends
