Are you a meticulous financial professional ready to make a tangible impact within a dynamic global enterprise? We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join a pivotal finance team, where your expertise will directly contribute to the smooth and accurate flow of financial operations. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity of financial records, optimizing vendor relationships, and upholding the highest standards of compliance, directly supporting the company's operational efficiency and financial health.

**Responsibilities:**

* Accurately process vendor invoices by verifying details, resolving discrepancies, and entering data into financial systems.

* Prepare and organize original documents for imaging and filing according to established procedures.

* Review and process check and refund requests, verifying accuracy, resolving issues, entering supporting data, and attaching required documentation for audit purposes.

* Ensure all payments are processed in accordance with payment terms and compliance standards.

* Respond to phone calls, emails, and inquiries, conducting research as needed and providing timely, accurate resolutions.

* Review and analyze vendor accounts to ensure accuracy, monitor credit balances, and request cash refunds when appropriate.

* Demonstrate working knowledge of W9 and 1099 processes to support accurate vendor and tax reporting.

* Manage incoming and outgoing mail, maintain recordretention files, and assist with special projects as assigned.

* Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

* Communicate effectively with peers, internal teams, and external partners to support strong working relationships.

* Use word processing and spreadsheet applications with proficiency to complete daily tasks.

* Build and maintain rapport with internal and external stakeholders.

* Identify issues, analyze information, and apply problemsolving skills to reach effective solutions.

* Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive or proprietary information.

* Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

**Qualifications:**

* Proven ability to accurately process financial data and resolve discrepancies.

* Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

* Must have the legal right to work and reside in the United States without visa sponsorship.

**Highly Valued Skills & Experience:**

* Three years of accounts payable experience.

* An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.

* Experience with large-scale financial systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.

* Demonstrated strong analytical abilities, sound decisionmaking skills, and the ability to estimate project scope and complexity.

* Ability to develop creative and effective solutions to challenges.

* Capable of working independently or within a team; possesses project management skills; able to mentor others; and can set, manage, and achieve objectives.

* Customerservice oriented and comfortable interacting with peers, subordinates, and senior management.

* Knowledge of how the role interacts with other business disciplines; understanding of Company strategy; and familiarity with QHSE Management principles.
