Job Title: Inventory Accounting Specialist / Reconciliation Analyst Location: Richmond, VA 23219 Pay Rate: $30.00/hr. on without benefits Duration: 4 months (anticipated) Work Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Lunch period: 30 minutes Role & Responsibilities: Look at the movement of inventory for various locations. Reconciles and balances inventory variances. Prepares daily journal entry for inventory balancing. Monitors group inbox for questions from districts and other stakeholders. Triages and routes requests to others for complex questions. Provides responsive customer service to stakeholders with questions. May include monthly/ quarterly reconciliations and reporting. Equipment to be used by the temporary staffing professional(s): Personal computer, copy machine. Computer software to be used: Microsoft Office suite, to include SharePoint, Teams, and Excel; Agency financial system (PeopleSoft-based); Inventory system. Knowledge, skills, education, and/or experience: Inventory and reconciling experience. Responsive with a customer service mindset. Experience with large data sets. Accounting degree or certifications preferred. Advanced spreadsheet skills. Attention to detail and analytical. Desired skills: Principles of accounting. Critical thinking and comfortable navigating ambiguity. Curious mindset, comfortable asking questions, and follows up for clarification in person and via calls. Ability to work independently and with a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and inventory procedures. Ability to research, isolate, and resolve accounting variances. Experience with ERP systems.
