Qualifications

• Proven experience in billing, accounts receivable, or collections
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to build rapport with clients and navigate collections conversations with professionalism and tact
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Self-starter with the ability to follow instructions and manage priorities effectively

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for client billing inquiries, delivering a high level of customer service
• Follow up on outstanding and problem accounts, partnering with clients and internal teams to resolve discrepancies
• Manage collections efforts, including contacting customers regarding past-due balances
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders regarding account status, including non-payment notifications
• Process ACH payments and maintain accurate records of electronic transactions
• Monitor accounts receivable reports and identify trends or areas requiring attention
• Assist with escrow billing processes and support deposit activities
• Prepare and issue client refunds in a timely and accurate manner
• Support audit-related collections and recommend account write-offs when appropriate
