Job Description

Pay: $76,000 - $80,000

Work Schedule: Full-Time; Monday - Friday, 8-5 PM. Occasional after hours may be needed.

Full-Time position is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Short Term Disability, Life/Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Flexible Spending Accounts, Long Term Disability, and several voluntary supplemental benefit offerings. In addition, these positions are eligible for paid time off in the form of vacation, sick, holiday, floating holiday, jury duty, and bereavement leave. JOB SUMMARY:

The Analyst II, Requirements and Testing role is responsible for ensuring that technology solutions meet business needs, shaping, validating, and ensuring the quality of such solutions from concept through release and supporting them throughout their lifecycle. This role closely partners with the business and technology teams to define requirements, assist in solution development, ensure solutions are built correctly, and confirm they deliver intended business and stakeholder outcomes.

This role acts as a bridge spanning business and technology teams as well as vendors, ensuring that technology solutions are fit for purpose, testable, and reliably delivered, while maintaining appropriate controls to preserve objectivity and quality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Product Requirements and Business Systems Analysis:



  • Collaborate with business team members to understand business/user needs, elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, workflows, and system needs that drive desired outcomes.
  • Translate business needs into clear, complete, and testable functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Analyze current state processes and systems; identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities, shaping scope and the to-be state by clarifying trade-offs, dependencies, and constraints.
  • Support solution design by validating that proposed system capabilities and changes align with business objectives and constraints.
  • Maintain alignment and traceability across business outcomes, priorities, requirements, and test cases.
  • Act as a steward of the technology-enabled business outcomes and a subject matter liaison across technical and non-technical teams.


Testing, Quality Assurance, and Application Support:



  • Develop test strategies, test plans, and test cases aligned with outcomes, documented requirements, and user expectations.
  • Design and execute functional, integration, and regression tests based on requirements and acceptance criteria. Validate end-to-end workflows, business rules, data accuracy, edge cases, and exception handling.
  • Identify, document, and triage defects in collaboration with business and technology teams. Verify fixes and confirm readiness for deployment.
  • Support and guide user acceptance testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios, guiding business testers, and validating results and ensuring they reflect real world usage.
  • Provide ongoing application support as needed throughout the system lifecycle. Develop training materials and process documentation for end-users and other support functions (e.g. Helpdesk).


Change Management, Continuous Improvement, and Risk Management:



  • Communicate status, issues, and risks pertaining to projects and technology solutions in a timely manner.
  • Participate in change management and deployment processes, validating readiness, scope, and impact.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative feedback to refine requirements and testing. Participate in post release review and feedback cycles to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure requirements and testing artifacts support auditability, traceability, and compliance needs.
  • Escalate risks, ambiguities, or quality concerns when requirements or solutions do not align.


Other:



  • The incumbent must be adept with reprioritizing responsibilities depending on the needs of the department and the organization. They may be assigned additional/different duties occasionally to help support the IT group and the company.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:



  • A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is required.
  • In addition, industry certifications are preferred (e.g., Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), and PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA), Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE), Certified Agile Software Test Professional (CASTP).


Experience:



  • Five (5) years of experience with business systems such as enterprise resource planning (ERP), point of sale (POS), customer relationship management (CRM), Finance, Human Resources (HR), and/or operational systems, both cloud-based and on-premises.
  • Knowledge of and hands-on experience with database management system (DBMS) and Structured Query Language (SQL).
  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools. Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Quick Test Pro, or ACCELQ preferred.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tool is preferred.
  • Understanding of data validation, reporting, and basic integration concepts.
  • Experience with retail and thrift industries is a plus.
  • High-level understanding of Microsoft .NET/Azure.
  • Familiarity with systems development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies (Agile, hybrid, or waterfall).


Other:



  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills with a robust product and solution orientation.
  • Excellent business and systems analysis skills with proven ability to discover and map processes, elicit and document requirements. Ability to write clear, concise, and testable requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong functional testing and quality assurance skills. Experience creating and executing test cases based on business and functional requirements.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills with ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of cloud computing and software-as-a-service solutions.
  • Ability to investigate complex software application issues and collaborate with engineering staff.
  • Experience with projects of various sizes, ranging from small to large/enterprise-scale. Knowledge or experience with digital transformation a plus.
  • It is preferred that the incumbent have the ability to drive for company business*.


*Per auto vehicle insurance carrier requirements: For applicants/employees to qualify for inclusion on the Goodwill driver insurance schedule, for purpose of driving Goodwill fleet vehicles, or for purpose of receiving company mileage reimbursement they must be at least:



  • 21 years of age (not engaged in passenger transportation),
