Researches, tracks, and analyzes a variety of information about existing customers, as well as new prospects, for use in determining proposal/contract pricing. Reviews pricing and product packages to maximize revenue and to ensure that products are priced equitably and appropriately, based on their value to customers and the strategy of the sales team. This includes partnering closely with field sales teams to determine the optimal product and price offering for the customer. Reviews assigned orders and renewals to meet business requirements and prepares contract documents. Collaborates with internal and external customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates requests for pricing exceptions/discounts and package options with field sales and determines approvable options.
  • Communicates with customers and sales channels to explain how pricing is derived.
  • Reviews and prepares sales contract documents.
  • Coordinates the renewals of existing contracts.
  • Maintains current knowledge of Bloomberg INDG products, and Bloomberg INDG policies and procedures, to assist and provide support to internal and external customers.
  • Explains special terms and conditions regarding products, pricing, access, and length of offers to sales representatives and/or customers as needed.
  • Works closely with Field Sales and Sales Management to optimize pricing and product strategy to drive sales and retention.
  • Works with other units and sales teams to resolve questions and issues.
  • Reviews orders to meet business requirements.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Bloomberg Industry Group's products, pricing, policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Ability to develop successful pricing strategies across product lines.
  • Understanding of sales strategy and principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, research and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to use business systems, including Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce and SAP.
  • Ability to create reports, analyze data and aggregate results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and sales professionals.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment with shifting priorities.
  • Business/contract writing skills.
  • Ability to train and guide others performing closely related work.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required or the equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years overall experience, which includes 2+ years' experience in an appropriate combination (1) working with Bloomberg Industry Group or similar products and pricing and (2) providing contract administration support in a related business environment.
  • Experience in sales or marketing, including experience in sales strategy, deal review and pricing negotiation is preferred but not required.
