Job Summary

Church & Dwight is seeking a Group Leader, Project Management Office (PMO) to join our team in Princeton, NJ. This role is responsible for leading and managing the Project Management Office, ensuring high-quality execution of projects and effective portfolio management across multiple Strategic Business Units, including Household, Personal Care, OTC, and Medical Devices, as well as the Global Markets Group.

About the Role

The PMO Group Leader will drive excellence across the full project lifecycle by applying best practices, standardizing processes, and strengthening governance frameworks. This role will support both domestic and select international portfolios, with a focus on global harmonization through effective change management and strong cross-functional collaboration. The individual will play a key role in shaping PMO strategy, enhancing organizational capabilities, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.

Work Environment

Hybrid: The role will be based in Princeton, NJ and requires in-person attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with remote work options on Mondays and Fridays.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Lead and continuously improve PMO processes, methodologies, tools, and infrastructure aligned with industry best practices, particularly within the CPG environment.

  • Oversee project execution across the portfolio, both directly and through project managers, ensuring consistency, strong stakeholder engagement, and successful delivery.

  • Own and evolve project governance (Stage Gate) to ensure alignment with enterprise strategy, maintaining a data-driven and value-focused approach.

  • Drive effective change management initiatives to support new or evolving processes required to meet strategic business objectives.

  • Develop, track, and analyze KPIs and metrics to support portfolio prioritization and enable informed decision-making.

  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional and executive relationships to ensure alignment, transparency, and continuous improvement.

  • Leverage project and portfolio data, including PPM tools, to generate insights and recommendations for leadership.

  • Support the development of PMO team structure, capabilities, and talent, fostering a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.

  • Deep understanding of PMO best practices, principles, and project management tools.

    Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.

    Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into actionable plans.

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

    Proven ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

    Ability to balance attention to detail with a strong focus on overall business strategy and outcomes.

Education and Experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific discipline required.
  • 10+ years of project management experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry or transferable experience from related industries.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience within a PMO environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree preferred.

  • PMP certification strongly desired.

  • Experience with global project portfolios and cross-cultural collaboration.

  • Basic understanding of OTC drug development processes, including FDA regulations and design controls.

Compensation and Benefits

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $149,700 - $213,200. This position is also eligible for a bonus.

U.S. employees are entitled to paid holidays, floating holidays, and vacation days starting in their first year of employment depending on hire date. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay parity. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
