The Opportunity

Michelin has an immediate opening for aPayroll (PRO) and Time and Attendance (WFM) System Leadresponsible for the strategic direction, governance, and operational excellence of payroll and time and attendance systems across the U.S. and Canada. This critical role ensures data integrity, system efficiency, and a strong user experience, enabling Payroll and Time and Attendance teams to operate effectively.

As the lead for our pay and workforce tracking systems, you will provide both strategic direction and hands-on leadership for our HRIS ecosystem, partnering closely with business operators, Human Resources, Total Rewards, Workday teams, Shared Services, Finance, and IT collaborators.

What You Will Do

  • Provide expertise during strategic planning and lead roadmap development to harmonize Payroll and Time and Attendance systems and processes.
  • Design and socialize a request system to prioritize issues, enhancements, and system upgrades for quick and efficient resolution.
  • Lead configuration, maintenance, and ongoing optimization of the UKG Platform across payroll and time and attendance teams in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, including teams in Centers of Excellence (COE), Shared Services, and business operations.
  • Partner with program owners to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into effective Payroll and Time and Attendance solutions, ensuring integrations perform as expected.
  • Define and enforce system governance, data standards, and security protocols, maintaining documentation to support payroll audits.
  • Manage system upgrades, releases, testing cycles, change control processes, and year-end checklist activities.
  • Drive employee-focused improvements by monitoring performance, data integrity, and compliance; identify efficiency opportunities and leverage AI trends to enhance systems.
  • Indirectly lead and support team members working with the UKG Platform, including task prioritization, coaching, and professional development.
  • Provide expert guidance for audits, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in Payroll and Time and Attendance management.
  • Build a core group to provide reporting/BI/Alert support and expertise to the business and external agencies, driving self-service where available.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience managing HRIS, including time and attendance and payroll systems in a multi-country or complex environment. Candidates prepared to advance into a lead role are encouraged to apply.
  • Hands-on experience with UKG Suite, ServiceNow, Workday, Oracle, and Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of payroll and time and attendance processes, data governance, and compliance requirements (U.S. and Canada preferred).
  • Experience leading system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Demonstrated ability to define governance frameworks, data standards, and security controls.
  • Prior people leadership experience or strong experience mentoring HRIS team members.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Payroll, HR, IT, and Finance teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a matrixed or multinational organization.
