Job Description: Amherst College invites applications for the Green Dean - Center for Restorative Practices position. The Green Dean - Center for Restorative Practices is a full-time, one-year position. The expected salary range for this job opportunity is: $20.02-$20.50 per hour. The salary offered will vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to relevant education, training, and experience, tenure status, and other nondiscriminatory business considerations. Amherst College invites applications for a Green Dean shared between the Center for Restorative Practices (CRP) and the Faculty Equity and Inclusion Officers (FEIOs). This is a twelve-month position running from August 1, 2026, through July 30, 2027. While formally 50% with each unit, the division of hours may be flexibly adjusted during the semester to meet program needs, with periods when responsibilities are more heavily weighted toward either the CRP or FEIOs. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ways they bring value to, and will support, Amherst's broadly diverse community. We seek applications from current Amherst seniors and recent alumni with experience in program support and administration; comfort with data management, research, assessment, and evaluation; and interest in restorative justice, equity, and inclusive practices. Reporting jointly to the Assistant Director of CRP and collaborating closely with Faculty Equity and Inclusion Officers, the Green Dean will help manage and maintain programmatic aspects of the Center for Restorative Practices while supporting DEI initiatives across the faculty. The role includes logistical, data, and publicity support for both units and involves active collaboration with students, staff, faculty, and community partners.
