Application Management Engineer (Contract)

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Management Engineer for an 18+ month contract position with a global financial institution located in Charlotte, NC.

Summary:

We are seeking a highly technical, hands-on Application Management Engineer to support multiple applications across various product lines. This role is ideal for a technically confident professional who can operate across infrastructure, application, cloud, and security domains to enable specialist development teams. We are looking for a technically versatile, adaptable engineer with strong real-world experience across a broad, market-relevant technology stack.

Responsibilities:

• Provide end-to-end application management support across multiple applications and platforms
• Act as a technical generalist supporting specialist development and engineering teams
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and development teams to ensure application availability, performance, and stability
• Support cloud migration initiatives and modern infrastructure services
• Troubleshoot application, server, and infrastructure issues across environments
• Ensure monitoring, authentication, certificate management, and file transfer services are properly configured and maintained

Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience across the technical areas listed below
• Strong ability to work across multiple applications and environments simultaneously
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across application and infrastructure layers
• Technically confident and adaptable with a broad engineering skill set
• Experience with modern, market-standard technology stacks
• Cloud Migration: Strong understanding of cloud concepts and hands-on experience in data center migrations
• Application Monitoring: Experience with Splunk, ThousandEyes, AppDynamics or similar APM tools
• Application & Server Configuration: Setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of Load Balancers, Web Servers (Apache Tomcat), and Application Servers
• Security & Certificate Management: Experience with Venafi Certificate Management, authentication keys, and SSH protocols
• Infrastructure Services: Setting up and supporting APIs, File transfer solutions, S3/object storage, Databases, and Network Data Managers (NDMs)
• Operating Systems & Automation: Strong familiarity with Linux/Unix file systems and experience with shell scripting for automation
• Identity & Access Management: Supporting user migrations from Active Directory (AD-ENT) to Azure AD, Ping, OAuth2, etc

Desired skills:

• Experience supporting finance or enterprise-scale application environments
• Exposure to regulated or large, complex environments
• Strong documentation and operational process experience

Pay range: $43.59 - $51.59 per hour
